Gurpreet Dhillon is an educator, scholar, and thought leader.

Professor Dhillon is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, the UK, where he studied organizations and information. In 2019 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Örebro University, Sweden. His research led him to explore aspects of information security, identity, and assurance. He has authored over 100 research articles that have been published in various journals. Professor Dhillon is also an author of over a dozen books, besides being the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information System Security. He has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, Business Week, among other popular press magazines and newspapers. He regularly consults with the industry and government and has completed assignments in the US, UK, UAE, Hong Kong, Portugal, India, Sweden, and Belgium.
